Night Veterinary Surgeon Faygate Hospital

Job description: Would you be interested to work as a Veterinary Surgeon only 26 weeks per year and receive a full salary and benefits? Synchronised Solution is currently recruiting an experienced RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with a keen passion for emergency and critical care.

You will be responsible for dealing with all out-of-hour care within both the hospital and the surrounding group veterinary practices. You will be working alongside a team of dedicated night staff, as well as having on-call vets and nurses available should you require additional support during your shift.

This is a permanent full time role, covering an average of 49 hours a week. The shift pattern consists of 5 nights on, 5 nights off (Monday – Sunday) 7pm – 9am – weekends are included in this pattern (there is some flexibility on the shift pattern for the right candidate) 23.5 days annual leave including bank holidays. You will benefit form the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

We are seeking a veterinary surgeon with a strong passion for emergency and critical care and who thrives working at a gold standard in patient and client care. ECC Certificate holders are preferred but no previous night experience is necessary.

Location details: The practice is very close to Gatwick airport (15 minute drive) and there are also excellent train connections to Central London. The successful candidate will be joining a large team of 9 vets and 25 support staff which hold a variety of certificates and specialities including exotics, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, radiology, rehabilitation, surgery, ultrasound.

Salary and benefits: Further to fantastic flexibility this position offers. There is on offer a very competitive package up to £60000 which includes a very generous yearly accommodation allowance. A car is also provided or allowance as well as £1,500 CPD allowance with two days’ CPD leave and in-house CPD training, 5 weeks annual leave and fantastic career progression opportunities. There are many other benefits available including paid VDS, RCVS and BVA fees.
