Veterinary Surgeon Enfield North London

Job description: We are currently recruiting an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to work in a two very well established veterinary practices in the Enfield region North London. Practices are located in Enfield and Southgate. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience and be a confident all rounder.

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon who has good general practice knowledge and is confident with working up medical cases to a high standard as well as performing routine surgeries. The role will involve consulting, surgery as well as taking part in the on-call rota – average 2-3 weeks on-call per year.

Both practices are busy and well equipped small animal practices  with in-house haematology and biochemistry machines, digital x-rays, dentistry, separate theatres and easy access to ultrasound including VVS, CT, MRI and radioiodine at nearby 24 hour veterinary hospitals.

Salary and benefits: You would work on a 39 hours/4-day week rota to assist with an excellent work life balance.  The shift pattern includes 1:3 Saturdays or 1:6 full weekends.

This role offers a great salary package depending on experience.  This includes yearly accommodation allowance of £10200  and a vehicle or vehicle allowance. A generous CPD allowance of £1500 CPD with 3-days CPD leave is also designed to drive your progress, balanced by a 4-day week with 5 weeks annual holiday allowance plus bank holidays. Location details: Enfield is a market town located in the wider borough of Enfield in Greater London around 10 miles northeast of the city centre. Enfield seems to be a popular compromise between city living and relocation to the countryside. House prices are also very competitive comparing to other North London areas.

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
