Ward Veterinary Surgeon – Horsford 24h. Norwich

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our Horsford 24h practice due to growth.

The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate in internal medicine or diagnostic imaging or would be working towards one. Full funding can be provided for a certificate with potential to buy out of current training. A client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills is a must, alongside the ability to work to a high standard.

Our day starts with a ward round with all the team where we discuss the plan for the day. We see a varied case load from our main hospital and also from the 4 nearby branches, giving a varied case load. The role includes managing all in-patients, performing medical work ups, and basic urgent surgeries. You will be working alongside an experienced team offering services in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, exotics and emergencies. This role works to a 4-day week, with hours between 9am to 7pm and, you will be included on the weekend rota which is 1:6 weekends. No nights.

Branch
Our centre is a busy first opinion 24h centre based in the outskirts of Norwich. Well equipped with digital x-rays, ultrasound, full in-house lab, theatre, multiparametric monitors, separate dog, cat and exotics wards and more. We have an experienced and empathetic team of vets, nurses and support staff that ensure clients receive the best care possible.
